Chelsea ran out comfortable winners in the League Cup, but not all of Frank Lampard's players impressed their supporters.

Chelsea fans have criticised Christian Pulisic’s display against Grimsby Town last night.

Chelsea ran out 7-1 winners over their lower league opponents last night, as they showed no mercy.

However, the Blues summer signing failed to make much of an impact on the game.

Pulisic didn’t manage to get his first Chelsea goal, and there are now concerns that he isn’t showing enough to start regularly.

Frank Lampard actually admitted that he had to have stern words with Pulisic at half-time as he wanted more from the Chelsea winger.

Lampard has stressed that the American remains part of his plans already, but he seems to have slipped down the pecking order.

With Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi both returning to fitness over the course of the season so far, Chelsea are now well stocked for options on the wings.

And it appears that Pulisic still has some way to go before he breaks into Lampard’s starting line-up on a regular basis.
