After the much-publicised youngster sailed across the Atlantic to speak at the UN summit on climate change, Greta Thunberg has not only become a global figure but an internet meme as well.

Her hard-hitting message about the severity of climate change and the desperate need for action has caught the attention of many and her well-known dislike of Donald Trump has spawned a glorious meme that will likely go down in internet history.   

Who is Greta Thunberg?

Greta Thunberg is a 16-year-old Swedish climate activist who is bringing the issues of global warming to the forefront of the news headlines. 

Greta, who has the condition Aspergers, has risen to prominence in recent months for her much-publicised work combatting climate change and demanding action that could help prolong the life of our planet. 

Earlier in 2019, Greta embarked on a cross-Atlantic journey using only renewable energy sources in order to speak at the UN summit on climate change in late September where she gave a damning and passionate speech that will no doubt go down in history.

Being the President of the United States, Donald Trump unsurprisingly made an appearance at the summit and in doing so, alongside Greta has created a glorious meme with plenty of hilarious potential.

At the summit, Greta was seen scowling at the controversial President with enough ferocity to summon up the phrase ‘if looks could kill.’

Naturally, the iconic image has been quickly repurposed by social media users to hilarious effect.
