Leeds United have been given a Fair Play award by FIFA.

The award was given to Leeds because of their actions against Aston Villa in which they permitted their opponents to walk in a goal against them.

It came after a controversial Leeds goal which prompted a touchline argument, and manager Marcelo Bielsa agreed to let Villa score.

The award has caused a split reaction, with Leeds fans loving it, and rival fans not so.

Derby County midfielder Mason Bennett is not a fan either, taking to Twitter to present his bemusement.

Leeds were heavily fined by the EFL after manager Marcelo Bielsa admitted sending spies to watch Derby’s training sessions in January.

That certainly wasn’t in line with fair play, but Bielsa has managed to redeem himself, on the world stage.
