Charlton Athletic take on Leeds United next week and veteran midfielder Darren Pratley is worried.

He told the Addicks club website that he considers their form to be unacceptable and he knows it will not be good enough to continue playing like they are.

Pratley says he knows if Charlton repeat the same performances against Leeds, they will be punished.

He said: "We’re playing the team that are expected to win the league and we’re going to have to raise it, because if we play like that, we’re going to get punished.

"This league can be unforgiving sometimes and you can go on a little bad run, but hopefully we can go again next week."

Charlton lost 2-0 against Wigan at the weekend, and this was their second successive defeat without scoring a goal.

The match next Saturday will see Addicks boss Lee Bowyer in the dugout against his former club for the first time.

Leeds are top of the table and have been playing better away  from home than at Elland Road.

At the weekend they let a lead slip against Derby County to draw 1-1, and like Charlton, they will head into the game with plenty  to prove.
