The left-back is not the first Coventry City player to be linked with Leeds United of late.
Coventry City fans are reacting to reports Leeds United are tracking a second Sky Blues youngster.
Leeds were strongly linked with a move for Jodi Jones, before the Coventry winger suffered a serious injury - from which he has yet to return - last season.
McCallum has made five appearances for a Coventry side topping League One this season, and 15 in total since his 2018 move from non-league Hearn Bay FC.
And despite having lost his place to Brandon Mason last time out, some Coventry fans know they have a talent worth keeping in McCallum - although others are open to cashing in.

Leave him alone— ATUL THAKER (@KDCaccounting) September 20, 2019
He will probably suit Bielsa’s style to be honest! It would be a good signing if you pulled it off! 100% one for the future!— Harry (@HarryNC22) September 20, 2019
Leeds interested in Sam McCallum. If Leeds bid, I wouldn't want to see him go. Improving at a rate of knots and will only get better you'd hope. Did brilliant covering for Mason, only 19 as well. But developing young lads and selling for profit is what we do to keep going. #PUSB— Cameron Cairns (@CameronCairns87) September 20, 2019
Be alot more gutted if Mason was targeted. I think Mason is only gonna get better, and probably could be Championship quality very soon.— Cameron Cairns (@CameronCairns87) September 20, 2019
I’d 100% sell him if it was decent money— SkyBlueBen (@SkyBlueBen1) September 20, 2019
I think we could get at least £1M out of this. Has 3 years left on his deal, 19, a hot prospect and has a big potential ceiling. We accept £250,000 we've mugged ourselves off.— Cameron Cairns (@CameronCairns87) September 20, 2019
I think both LB’s are excellent but McCallum’s ceiling is higher— Rob Jones (@RobJonesPUSB) September 20, 2019
I think McCallum has time on his side and will get a decent number of games this season. Joining the Leeds bench right now doesn't do him any favours.— Joseph (@Jojosdojo) September 20, 2019
McCallum will be premiership in next 3 years . Shouldn’t take lesss than 1 mill with sell on fee— Jake Hills (@Hillsy57) September 20, 2019
Yet certain City fans on here claim he's shite. Class talent, hope he stays.— Harrison (@haz_davis97) September 20, 2019
McCallum's potential earned him a new three-year contract earlier this year, although interest from a club of Leeds United's stature could be hard to ignore for either Coventry or their versatile left-back.
He recently impressed the Coventry-born former Bradford City player and manager, Greg Abbott, who told The Coventry Telegraph: "It’s what Coventry fans want to see, just people prepared to roll their sleeves up from the management down to the youngest player on the pitch, who I think was the left-back Sam McCallum, who I thought was outstanding.
"And do you know what, that’s why I was so animated because I was so pleased to see that. He’s still only 19, by the way!"
McCallum is with the same agency as the Leeds midfielder, Adam Forshaw, according to Transfermarkt.
