Tottenham Hotspur boss was very critical of his team.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino tore into the club’s players after the midweek draw with Olympiakos.
Spurs let a two goal lead slip to draw 2-2, but managed to hang on for the draw as the Greek side pushed for the win.
Pochettino lambasted the Spurs players for failing to follow his instructions, Sky Sports reported.
It was a typically moody response from the Argentine, whose demeanour has become to resemble Jose Mourinho in recent weeks.
He is at odds with his players, and making some strange tactical decisions.
His decision to select Davinson Sanchez at full-back, again, was a bizarre choice, so soon after his poor display against Arsenal in the position.
Meanwhile Kyle Walker-Peters sat on the bench.
Tottenham fans are beginning to get worried about Pochettino, with his comments and tactical decisions being scrutinised.
If the players are not responding to his instructions, then it falls back on him, for failing to implement his message. Is he motivating his players in the right way?
Here is a look at how Tottenham fans reacted to Pochettino’s latest actions…
Why play a CB as a RB when you have KWP sitting on the bench? Why leave Eriksen on for 90 minutes when he looked like he couldn’t be arsed from kick-off? I do worry about Poch’s decisions at times. Often costs us dearly #COYS— Loraine Bergstrom (@PollyPeck) September 19, 2019
Why leave Aurier and Rose at home? Why play Sanchez at RB again after that Arsenal performance?— COYS.com (@COYS_com) September 18, 2019
Why keep Eriksen on for whole 90? Why introduce Sonny with 17 minutes to go?
Poch got it horribly wrong tonight. #THFC
I never like to criticize Poch but it was an error playing Sanchez at right back. If Aurier was there, especially in the first half, there was acres of space to exploit. Sanchez just didn’t use it. I hate to say it but Poch is the one harming us more than anybody at the moment. #coys— Ant (@antleary) September 18, 2019
Harry Winks MOTM. Ndombele looked like an old man. I don’t blame Sanchez but he offered 0 going forward. Poch refusing to admit a mistake and instead doubling down and weakening one side of the pitch in the process. I need a drink. #COYS #THFC— Aaron Pitters ✍️️ (@aaronpitters) September 18, 2019
Team appear to lack coherence and motivation. Contract situation must be a serious issue. Poch doesn’t seem to be leading and inspiring the way he did. Two years ago, we would not have thrown a 2-0 lead away twice in a couple of weeks. It’s so poor. #OLYTOT #UCL #COYS— Craig Pankhurst (@Craig_Pankhurst) September 18, 2019
