Neil Lennon’s Celtic drew with Rennes in the Europa League on Thursday.

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s draw with Rennes on Thursday evening.

Neil Lennon’s side played out a 1-1 draw with Rennes away from home in France in Europa League Group E.

M’Baye Niang put the home team in the lead in the 37th minute from the penalty spot, and Ryan Christie restored parity on 59 minutes with a spot kick.

The Scottish Premiership club ended the game with 10 men due to the sending-off of Vakoun Bayo in the second minute of injury time.

Celtic midfielder Brown – who has been on the books of the Hoops since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million – is pleased with the final result.

Celtic had chances to win the match against Rennes, but the Bhoys will still be pleased with the final result.

The draw in France will enhance the Scottish Premiership giants’ chances of progressing to the knockout round of the Europa League.
