Leeds United fans have left a strong impression on Ezgjan Alioski.

Leeds United winger Ezgjan Alioski has spoken highly of the Leeds United fans to The Yorkshire Evening Post.

Alioski, who can also operate as a left-back, has said that the Leeds supporters are some of the best he has seen in his career so far.

The North Macedonia international has also suggested that the Elland Road faithful are better than what he sees when he goes away on international duty – quite a big claim indeed.

Alioski told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Leeds fans: “It’s unbelievable fans and it’s not only me, every player we have is proud of these fans, they are one of the best I have seen in my career. Unbelievable.

“When I go away internationally I don’t see these fans that I see at Leeds. When you see what the fans give us to be there, you think you have to give them something back so I will.”

Important for Leeds United fans

Leeds fans are very supportive of their team, and even when things are not going well, they stay behind the players.

Elland Road is not an easy ground to play at for opposition teams, and one of the reasons for that is the fans and how they make the atmosphere so electric and intimidating.

With Leeds aiming to finish in the top two of the Championship table this season, the fans at Elland Road will play a very important role.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Derby County at Elland Road in the Championship.
