Tottenham Hotspur failed to win against Olympiakos on Wednesday.
Tottenham Hotspur central defender Toby Alderweireld has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s failure to win against Olympiakos on Wednesday evening.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side played out a 2-2 draw with Olympiakos away from home in Greece in Champions League Group B.
Spurs were 2-0 up after 30 minutes, thanks to a penalty from Harry Kane and a goal from Lucas Moura, but the Premier League club then conceded twice.
Tottenham defender Alderweireld - who is valued at €15 million (£13.3m) by the CIES Football Observatory - has expressed his disappointment at the final result on Twitter, and some fans of the North London outfit have responded to his post.
Tough opening game but we battled together. Disappointed to not get all 3 points for the travelling support. Thank you as always! pic.twitter.com/c73Rg0p5wl

We should of won from being 2-0 up but a draw is not the end of the world.

Something's very wrong at my club. Very poor performance from the team today. Apart from you, Winks and Lucas, the rest were not at the races.

Teach sanchez how to tackle and how to win Aerial duels. Then the team will improve. And also tell Eriksen that he needs to improve.

Disappointing result
A draw against Olympiakos in Greece is not a bad result, but what will be very frustrating and disappointing for Tottenham fans is that the team were 2-0 up.
With a two-goal lead after just half an hour, Spurs should have simply wrapped up the points, and manager Mauricio Pochettino will be annoyed that his players could only manage a draw.
