Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 with Olympiacos tonight.
Tottenham Hotspur couldn't start their Champions League qualifying campaign with a win as they squandered a 2-0 lead away at Olympiacos.
Spurs headed over to Greece this evening in search of a win, as they look to go one better than last season's runner-up finish in the Champions League.
It all seemed to be going so well for Mauricio Pochettino's side, as Harry Kane went down inside the box and stepped up to fire home the subsequent penalty.
Lucas Moura then marked his return to the starting line-up with a fine finish from outside the box, and Spurs appeared to be coasting to victory.
Yet having thrown away a 2-0 lead at Arsenal earlier this month, Spurs did exactly the same thing again, with Daniel Podence and Mathieu Valbuena rescued a point for the hosts.
This wasn't the start Tottenham were expecting, and throwing away such a commanding lead is a huge blow, leaving Spurs fans raging with a number of players.
One of the main culprits was playmaker Christian Eriksen, with fans accusing him of essentially giving up trying for Tottenham given that his contract expires next summer.
Some suggest he's 'disinterested' and has 'zero passion for the club', believing that he was absolutely woeful and should have been substituted by Pochettino after arguably his worst display for Tottenham.
I think this is the worst I have ever seen Eriksen play. Can’t believe he’s still on the pitch.— Max (@RossiterTHFC) September 18, 2019

Eriksen would be lucky if Real Sociedad wanted to buy him after that performance never mind Real Madrid. What was that about #thfc— jamie fittock (@jamieleef1982) September 18, 2019
