Jordan Jones has stated on Instagram that he is 'buzzing' for Rangers loanee Jake Hastie after he scored a second-half equaliser for Rotherham United during their 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Tuesday night.

It has been a great start for Hastie at Rotherham, with his team securing a much-needed point against a Sunderland side that will be one of the favourites to earn automatic promotion from England's third tier to England's second tier.

In the game itself, the Black Cats went ahead inside the first minute when Marc McNulty rounded the keeper and stuck the ball into an empty net, but after the break, Hastie stuck a vicious shot to equalise and, as a result, secure a point for his side.

This was the message Hastie put out on his personal Instagram account, with Jones congratulating the youngster on his efforts and issuing his four-word response: 'Buzzing for you son'.

There is a lot of competition at Rangers, especially on the flanks, so Hastie's time out on-loan is crucial if he wants to bridge that gap into the first-team.

Performances such as the one he produced at the Stadium of Light will only help his cause and impress those at Ibrox even further.

Added with that, his current team, even though they have made an indifferent start to the season, will want to bounce straight back up to the Championship.

If he can help the Millers earn promotion to England's second-tier then it'll put him on an even bigger platform, as Paul Warne's side are currently three points outside the play-off places.
