Some Celtic supporters were delighted by one Hoops player's return to action earlier (Tuesday). Daniel Arzani, who joined Celtic on a two-year loan from Manchester City last summer, was named on the bench for the Bhoys' behind-closed-doors friendly with Hibernian.
Arzani has spent the best part of 11 months out injured after tearing his Anterior Cruciate Ligament en debut.
But he played the final 26 minutes of Celtic reserves' Hibs encounter, which ended 1-1 thanks to a penalty won and converted by Armstrong Oko-Flex.
And the Manchester City-owned player's return has brought the following reaction from these Celtic fans on Twitter...
Great to see Arzani back in the mix. Some games in reserves and then hopefully back to his best and starting in the First team. Unreal talent and very keen to follow him throughout this season and his career. #celtic https://t.co/VCZXgoQER7— Nate Meiklejohn (@Nate_Meiklejohn) September 17, 2019
Good to see Arzani on the road back. Hope he gets a decent run out— Gary Thomson (@garybhoytommo) September 17, 2019

It’s quite shit that we’re only gonna get a season out of Arzani when we could’ve had 2.— Conor (@ConorM67_) September 17, 2019
Getting back fit could be just half the battle for Arzani, who has competition from James Forrest, Mikey Johnston, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Jonny Hayes, Lewis Morgan and Scott Sinclair in his position.
Summer signings Lee O'Connor, Liam Burt and Jonathan Afolabi all started this afternoon's game, which was held at Celtic's Lennoxtown training complex.
