Henrikh Mkhitaryan has already made a good impression on loan at Roma.

The Arsenal loanee scored on his debut in a 4-2 win over Sassuolo on Sunday.

His addition, along with Chris Smalling, has given Roma a lift, according to winger Justin Kluivert.

Former Ajax ace Kluivert told TMW: "New signings like Smalling and Mkhitaryan are important, they have great experience and are important for a player like me.

"They increase the trust of the whole team."

Smalling did not feature in Roma's weekend win due to an injury sustained in training.

Mkhitaryan did start, scoring Roma's third goal in just the 22nd minute.

Kluivert added a fourth minutes later, killing the game off.

Mkhitaryan featured as a substitute for Arsenal in the recent North London derby but struggled to make an impact.

His whole time at Arsenal has been a struggle, and the move appears in the short term to have done him good.

Arsenal might end up being able to land a decent fee for the Armenian by the end of the season. It certainly seems as though he has been welcomed with open arms.
