McKinstry arrived at Leeds United from Motherwell earlier this year.

Leeds United supporters are reacting on Twitter to Stuart McKinstry’s latest Under-23s display.

McKinstry arrived at Leeds from Motherwell earlier this year and made his second-string debut against Crystal Palace last week.

But despite the return of a procession of players from international duty ahead of Monday’s visit of Watford, the 16-year-old winger retained his place in a side packed with experience.

First-teamers Illan Meslier, Gaetano Berardi, Barry Douglas, Jack Clarke, Eddie Nketiah, Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts all played some part at Elland Road – where Leeds ran out 6-0 winners courtesy of goals from Pascal Struijk, Nketiah (two), Roberts, Robbie Gotts and Ayling.

While McKinstry was not on the scoresheet, he did win a couple of penalties for his side – which were dispatched by Nketiah and Roberts.

And his performance certainly caught the eye of the following Leeds fans (not to mention his mum, Karen)…

Carlos Corberan’s side travel to Hull City on Friday evening.

Leeds fans – what have you made of McKinstry so far?
