Mallik Wilks joined Leeds United from Barnsley in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a striker, joined Barnsley from Yorkshire rivals Leeds in the summer transfer window on a four-year contract.
The youngster failed to break into the Leeds first team during his time at the Whites, and had loan spells at Accrington Stanley, Grimsby Town and Doncaster Rovers before joining the Tykes on a permanent contract this summer.
Wilks has reflected on his decision to join Barnsley from Leeds, and has said that he was disappointed to leave Elland Road.
Wilks said in the club’s official matchday programme, as quoted in The Yorkshire Evening Post: "It was clear to me that it was time to move on at Leeds. I was a bit disappointed as I had a good season at Doncaster last year, but it shows football can be a tough business.
“I heard of Barnsley's interest quickly and there was just no doubt in my mind that I wanted to be here, there are some really good people here and I was told good things.”

Moving on
Wilks is a very talented and promising young player, and perhaps he should have been given a chance at Leeds.
However, it is in the past now, and it is time to move on and look forward to the future.
The youngster has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Barnsley so far this season, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
