Harry Maguire joined Manchester United from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire has sent a message to his former club Leicester City on Twitter following the match between the two sides on Saturday.

Maguire joined United from Premier League rivals Leicester in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £80 million.

The 26-year-old England international centre-back was in action against the Foxes on Saturday, as he lined up for United at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

The Red Devils won the match 1-0, thanks to Marcus Rashford’s goal from the penalty spot in the eighth minute.

After the match, Maguire took to Twitter to send a message to Leicester and wished them the best of luck for the rest of the season, and also thanked the travelling fans.

Maguire made a nervy start to the match and was hesitant for the early chance for James Maddison, but he recovered well and was solid for the rest of the game.

The centre-back did well against Demarai Gray, and it was a very encouraging performance from him.

According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 82.8%, won five headers, and made two tackles and six clearances.
