Celtic beat Hamilton Academical 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Celtic continued their 100% start to the season with a 1-0 victory away at Hamilton Academical on Saturday afternoon.

The Bhoys made the short trip south of Glasgow to take on the Accies, and wanted to build on their 2-0 Old Firm derby win over Rangers with another win.

They made a blistering start at New Douglas Park, as Mohamed Elyounoussi set up James Forrest to open the scoring for Neil Lennon’s side.

Many will have expected Celtic to go on and score more after that great start, but the Bhoys failed to add to their lead and had to settle for the 1-0 win.

Celtic did their job by getting all three points, but the performance wasn’t exactly convincing, and some players have been criticised.

Midfielder Callum McGregor struggled to really make an impact on the game, as has been the case in a number of games so far this season, leaving fans frustrated.

Supporters have taken to Twitter to react to McGregor’s performance, suggesting he was ‘beyond awful’ and needs to be dropped after a ‘joke’ performance.

Others think it was the poorest they’ve seen McGregor for a while, and even believe he just isn’t the same player under Lennon as he was under Brendan Rodgers.
