Tottenham Hotspur fans are hopeful that Christian Eriksen will sign a new contract with them, but there is a real scepticism about the latest rumours.
The Dane has not yet given Tottenham a response to the new offer.
However, there no longer seems to be much confidence among Spurs fans that their star playmaker will stay.
That’s more than Kane, completely worth it too.— Manny (@Mannythfc) September 13, 2019
i dont think he cares about money. he just wants to go— Tristan Tardieu (@TTlads) September 13, 2019
He and his agent have said that it's not about the money for Eriksen to leave the club. That's what led to a break down in communication between Levy and Eriksen's agent. Eriksen has genuine reasons to why he wants to leave and not money motives.— Dickson Kalumba (@Dickson72004800) September 13, 2019
When are we gonna learn that he doesn’t want to sign?— LordVinovic (@LordVinovic) September 13, 2019
No reason why he shouldn’t sign - Icardi signed extension at Inter even though loaned out to PSG where he is expected to sign permanently— gareth steen (@gareth_steen) September 13, 2019
I've seen somewhere that he doesn't want us to miss out on a fee for him so hopefully he signs a one year extension with a 40-60 buyout clause like the little sweetheart that he is— SpursMan (@SpursMa70313861) September 13, 2019

That would be more like it but levy’s gonna have like 3 or 4 knocks on his door from other players after that if true!— TheFootyCafe (@TheFootyCafe) September 13, 2019
It is somewhat of a surprise that Eriksen is still at Tottenham, after a summer of speculation.
Eriksen was heavily linked with a host of clubs over the summer, but no side went on to play Tottenham’s asking price.
Eriksen’s current deal has just months remaining on it, and Spurs will be desperate to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
Eriksen has already proven his worth to Tottenham this season, with excellent performances against both Aston Villa and Arsenal.
