Nathan Oduwa played with Tavernier during his loan spell at Rangers from Tottenham Hotspur during the first half of the 2015-16 season, and he seems to rate him highly.

The 23-year-old winger has named the former Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic right-back as among the three best players he has played with in his career so far.

The former Tottenham prospect has named Kyle Walker and Mousa Dembele as the two other outstanding players he has played with.

England international right-back Walker was on the books of Tottenham from 2009 until 2017 when he joined Manchester City for an initial transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £50 million.

As for Dembele, the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder was at Spurs from 2012 until January 2019 when he moved to Guangzhou R&F in China.

Oduwa told World Football Index: “I would say that the standout players for me are Kyle Walker, Mousa Dembele, and James Tavernier, all of them are fantastic players and they have gone on to have amazing careers.”
