Kiko Casilla is a first-team regular for Leeds United.
The former Leeds striker has been impressed with Casilla, and believes that he is very different from other goalkeepers.
Beckford has also said that the 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper is a “little bit wild”.
Beckford told Football League World about Casilla: “Granted, I agree, he’s a little bit wild. But that adds to him as a person and as a player.
“He does a lot of things that regular goalkeepers wouldn’t even think about doing, let alone try and do. But I think that’s why he’s been so successful.
“He’s learnt from some of the best in the world. If he wasn’t up to the task, he wouldn’t be in the team.”
Good goalkeeper
Casilla does have the tendency to come out of his area quite often, but overall he is a very good and reliable goalkeeper.
The 32-year-old makes good and important saves, and he also commands the Leeds penalty area well.
The former Espanyol and Real Madrid man is the first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds at the moment, and that is unlikely to change anytime more.
Promotion challenge
Leeds have made a good start to the season and are aiming to finish in the two of the Championship table this season.
The West Yorkshire outfit ended up third in the standings last season, and Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be determined to do better this time around.
