Odsonne Edouard is leading the line for Neil Lennon’s Celtic at the moment.
The former Celtic striker has said that he has always rated the 21-year-old striker and believes that he can go to the top.
McAvennie said about Edouard on Open Goal: “I like him, I always have done. I think he could be better than Dembele. He has got a thing about him.”
Big prediction
Dembele is one of the best strikers to have played in the Scottish Premiership in recent years and was a star at Celtic.
The 23-year-old French striker - who is now valued at €70 million (£62.15m) by the CIES Football Observatory - was a regular scorer for the Hoops during his two years the Celtic Park, winning the domestic treble twice.
Edouard is only 21 years of age, and the striker is now leading the line for the Glasgow giants.
The Frenchman is scoring important goals in important matches, and he can only improve and get better.
According to WhoScored, Edouard has scored three goals in three Scottish Premiership appearances, two goals in five Champions League qualifiers, and one goal in two Europa League qualifiers for Celtic so far this season.
