The Tottenham Hotspur Arena will play host to Spurs against the Lilywhites cult hero’s current club, Crystal Palace.

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Andros Townsend’s post in which says he is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces when he and his Crystal Palace team visit his old club.

Saturday afternoon sees the Tottenham Hotspur Arena play host to Spurs and the Eagles in the Premier League, the first time the two sides have locked horns since the memorable first game back at N17 for the Lilywhites back in April.

Townsend came through the ranks at Tottenham and was on their books until 2016, when he made the move across London to Selhurst Park following 93 senior appearances for Spurs, according to Transfermarkt.

Ahead of his return to North London for the day, the 28-year-old posted the following message on Twitter:

Several Tottenham fans took the time to reply, saying a good reception would be in store for him and wishing him well – but only after 5pm on Saturday, of course:

Since his move to Palace, Townsend has made 129 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and registering 22 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
