Rangers defender George Edmundson has told The Scottish Sun that he is sure Celtic will slip up this season, believing they won't go the season unbeaten.
The Gers hosted Celtic at Ibrox in the first Old Firm derby of the season before the international break, and were hoping to prove that they can launch a push for the Scottish Premiership title this season.
However, Celtic stifled Rangers and hit them with two goals as Odsonne Edouard and Jonny Hayes struck to give the Bhoys all three points.
Rangers have now had the international break to put that game behind them and hopefully come back stronger, starting with Saturday's home game against Livingston.
Celtic have now taken a three-point lead over Rangers at the top of the table, and whilst it's still early in the new season, the Gers know they need to stop Celtic breaking away.
Now, defender Edmundson – a summer signing from Oldham – has offered his view, suggesting that he's 'sure' Celtic will slip up at some point soon.
Edmundson doesn't think Celtic will go the whole season unbeaten, unlike in the 2016-17 campaign, whilst claiming that Rangers' defeat was just a 'little hiccup' with ups and downs over the season to come.
“It’s still early days in the season and I’m sure Celtic will slip up at some point,” said Edmundson. “I don’t think they are going to go the whole season unbeaten. It was a little hiccup but there’s a long season of ups and downs to come,” he added.
