The Rangers winger last appeared in one of Steven Gerrard's matchday squads five months ago and was expected to leave Ibrox.
Eros Grezda was one of three senior players on show for Rangers' development squad on Wednesday.
Grezda, Jamie Murphy and Andy Firth helped a young Rangers side to a 2-2 draw with Hibernian at the Ibrox side's Hummel Training Centre.
The Albania international last appeared in a Rangers matchday squad at the start of April and was expected to leave in the summer transfer window, with Steven Gerrard admitting that the Gers received interest in the player they signed for a reported fee of £1.8 million a year ago.
But Grezda looks like staying put for now, with games like yesterday's set to be all that comes his way.
The 24-year-old was singled out for praise by the Rangers coach Graeme Murty afterwards.
But what do those of a Gers persuasion make of his involvement in development squad fixtures?
This is what they are saying on Twitter...
**** sake Grezda still kicking about https://t.co/NfmEMycGNE

Forgot grezda existed— Adam™ (@rfc_adam_) September 11, 2019
Why is Grezda getting a game for the reserves? Euro Windows closed so no point keeping him fit for a move. Watched a couple of match highlight for reserves and he looks awful & body language so poor— Scott Law (@ScottyLaw100) September 11, 2019
He shot himself in the leg, again and again. I think he has some bad influence around, and he is not the only one from Albanian talented players of his generation whom are wasting their talent.— Ermal Kuka (@Ermal_Kuka) September 11, 2019
Average at best, decent first half with what seemed a good attitude. Like the rest of the team not so good after the break.— Elfideldo (@rfcyouths) September 11, 2019
Thanks, that’s disappointing. An experienced internationalist should be a standout at this level. Shame his ability / performances don’t match his social media image. It’s frustrating for a paying punter to see someone who contributes so little driving about in a Ferrari!— Copland Roar (@CF3Loyal) September 11, 2019
Yeah good result..have seen murty praising grezda also saying he is good with the young boys and there learning from him...maybe he deserves another chance in first team— James (@55coming2020) September 11, 2019
With JD injured would like to Grezda get another chance— kaizerking 82 (@Kaizerking8) September 11, 2019
Rangers found themselves two goals down with four minutes left to play against Hibernian, but fought back to level through Nathan Young-Coombes and Jamie Barjonas.
