Liverpool have been linked with making a move for Jadon Sancho, who caught the eye for England in midweek.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has raved about Jadon Sancho in the Guardian, just a year after the £100 million winger spoke about a potential move to Anfield.

Liverpool midfielder Henderson played in the same England side as Sancho in midweek, as the central midfielder was impressed by the damage which the winger did.

Sancho scored twice as England picked up a 5-3 win over Kosovo.

And the Liverpool captain said: “I thought Sancho was brilliant at times.

“He was so good with the ball, his runs and his final product. There’s still a lot of positives. We’re still confident and feel we’re going in the right direction, but we’re far from being the perfect team. We want to be even better.”

The comments come just months after Sancho was quizzed on links with Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are said to have an interest in the Borussia Dortmund wide-man, who has been nothing short of sensational in the Bundesliga.

And when asked about the rumours by the Liverpool Echo, Sancho said: “That’s mad!. Woah!

“That’s… I don’t know… I don’t know what to say to that.

“I don’t know. It’s the future. You never know what could happen, so we wait and see.”

If Sancho was to move to Liverpool it would be a hugely exciting signing, although his price tag may have been taken even beyond the £100 million mark now.

Where Sancho would slot in at Liverpool is not currently clear, as their current front three is so dangerous, but the English flyer would surely fit in brilliantly on Merseyside if he was to make the switch.
