Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard took some flak during Vincent Kompany testimonial, despite not being there.
Liverpool fans have criticised Manchester City supporters at Vincent Kompany’s testimonial last night.
Kompany was given a fine send off by City players and followers alike, as a host of Premier League legends took on some of Manchester City’s greatest players at the Etihad Stadium.
But Liverpool supporters were less than impressed when they heard chants against Steven Gerrard on the occasion.
The game had just begun when City supporters started singing anti-Liverpool chants.
And Reds fans were shocked that City fans were singing against Gerrard on Kompany’s big occasion.

Liverpool and City fought out one of the most fierce titled races in recent memory last term, with Pep Guardiola’s men ultimately just about coming out on top.
In Kompany’s testimonial, the Premier League legends managed to pick up a 2-2 draw with City’s greats.
