Liam Cooper has admitted that 'you don't realise' just how big a club Leeds United is 'until you are inside it' as he praised the 'unbelievable' noise of the crowd when he is on the pitch.
Centre-back Cooper extended his stay at Elland Road on Wednesday night [BBC Sport] and he will now be hoping to top it off by helping the club earn promotion.
The 28-year-old has been at the club for five years, so he would have seen a lot of lows and highs during that period, as there's no doubt that they are currently in the best period they have been in for a long time.
Leeds United have been in the wilderness for a long time now, and whilst they are in the Championship, Cooper shared that they are much bigger than it is imagined.
"You don't realise how big of a club it is before you are inside it, to be fair," Cooper told LUTV. "Everyone knows Leeds United, but until you are inside of it and you play out there on the pitch and the noise of it is unbelievable."
Leeds are the best-supported club outside of England's top-flight and promotion to the Premier League will no doubt wake up a sleeping giant.
The Elland Road faithful have stuck with the team through thick and thin - from their League One days to their European days of the late '90s and early noughties.
But they will be hoping that Marcelo Bielsa will be able to help them back to where they feel they belong as they currently sit third in the Championship table.
