West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has told the club's official website that he thinks new signing Sebastien Haller 'looks really good' so far.
The Hammers have been through a whole host of strikers in the David Gold and David Sullivan, with fans desperately waiting for one of them to become a long-term success.
West Ham decided the time was right to splash the cash on a new striker this summer, breaking their club transfer record to sign Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt.
With 20 goals and 12 assists last season, the 25-year-old Frenchman appeared to be the ideal signing for West Ham – and so he has proved so far.
Haller scored twice at Watford before bagging another goal against Norwich City before the international break, meaning he's scored three times in three games for West Ham.
He'll be the main threat when West Ham head to Aston Villa on Monday night, and teammate Declan Rice has now offered his verdict on Haller's start to life in East London.
Rice has admitted that he is delighted for Haller, because West Ham paid big money for him and he's made an immediate impression, adding that he 'looks really good' so far.
“Seb is a great lad. I’m buzzing for him. We paid a lot of money for him and I’m delighted for him that he’s got his goals. All our strikers have always given everything and I can’t say a bad word about them, as they’ve all given everything for the team. Now, we’ve got Seb and he looks really good.”
