The Borussia Dortmund star helped England to an entertaining 5-3 win over Kosovo at St Mary's after Gareth Southgate brought him back into the starting fold following their 4-0 win over Bulgaria from the weekend.
Rice also started the encounter, he deployed his typical defensive-midfield role, with Jordan Henderson and Ross Barkley playing either side of him.
The Three Lions remarkably conceded inside the first minute, but then they struck back by scoring five goals before the break, including a deserved brace from Sancho. Kosovo didn't stop there though because they then scored a further two goals in the second half.
After the game, Rice posted this message about Sancho from his personal Instagram account as players will now return to their respective clubs.
Sancho, who potentially has a £100 million price-tag over his head [Daily Mail], will head back to Germany where he is hoping to help Dortmund win the Bundesliga title.
As for Rice, he will return to London where West Ham will be preparing for their Monday night clash against Aston Villa.
The Hammers have picked up some good form and they will be hoping to continue that against a Villa side that has lost three out of their four league matches.
