One of Rangers’ worst ever signings has found a new club.

It is three years since Phillipe Senderos’ disastrous Rangers debut.

Senderos was sent off as Rangers crashed to a 5-1 Ibrox defeat to Celtic, a game which wrecked any momentum being built by then manager Mark Warburton.

This was one of just three games Senderos played for Rangers, as his short spell at the club was brought to an abrupt end.

The centre-back’s Rangers spell was his final act in British football, having previously been at Arsenal and Aston Villa. A surprise spell at AC Milan came in between.

Senderos is now 34, and he is still going.

The centre-back is now with Swiss second division side Chiasso.

Newspaper Le Matin reported Senderos has signed a two-year deal at the club.

In between now and his Rangers spell, Senderos had been in America with Houston Dynamo.

His stint at Chiasso could be the final one of his career, and hopefully a lot more successful than his Rangers career.
