The Everton attacker continued his good start to the season with an assist for Nigeria on Tuesday night.
Everton star Alex Iwobi managed to impress fans of international side Nigeria on Tuesday night, after he helped them to a 2-2 friendly draw away to Ukraine.
Signing a five-year contract with the Toffees during the summer transfer window, Iwobi hasn't wasted much time making an impact at Goodison Park.
He's already scored two goals in his first three appearances, including a crucial Premier League effort at home to Wolves last time out.
After years of development at Arsenal, he appears ready to kick start a new phase of his career at 23 and it's Everton who are set to benefit.
International breaks can often be tedious affairs for supporters who prioritise club football, but for Iwobi it was a chance to prove to his nation that the move away from the Gunners is a positive one.
It didn't take long for him to demonstrate that, firing in a classy low cross for Joe Aribo to prod home within three minutes.
While he was on the pitch, the Super Eagles had managed to build a two-goal cushion, with Iwobi pulling the strings in a number 10 position.
After he went off though, Nigeria struggled and subsequently lost two late goals.
His performance was appreciated by fans of the national team, with this lot taking to Twitter to share their thoughts...

Aribo also was fantastic, we still have defensive issues as it seems.
Chukwueze needs to start taking playing for nigeria seriously.

Watching Iwobi make one two touches that help us turn Defence into attack looks very simple to the eyes until when he was replaced and Etebo struggled to sort his feet out in same position. That’s where the class is .— Mr. Mowiz (@MrMowiz) September 11, 2019
