Tyrone Mings has stated on Instagram that it was a 'great experience' being with England as he will now return to Aston Villa.
During England's two Euro 2020 qualifiers, Gareth Southgate opted against selecting Mings at the heart of the defence, with Michael Keane and Harry Maguire playing instead.
This is the message Mings posted on his personal Instagram account, as he stated that he is looking forward to returning to action with Villa:
In the first game, the Three Lions beat Bulgaria 4-0, but against Kosovo, on Tuesday night, it was a completely different story.
Southgate's side ended up winning the encounter 5-3 at St Mary's, with centre-back Keane making a costly mistake inside the first minute which handed the away side the lead.
England then steamrolled their opponents as they lead 5-1 by half-time, but Kosovo fought back with two more goals during the second period.
Despite not getting onto the pitch to make his England debut, Mings would have learnt a lot from his first experience on the international stage.
The next set of international fixtures will take place next month and Mings will be hoping he can maintain his place in the squad by producing strong performances for Villa.
