A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Son Heung-min's exploits in South Korea's 2-0 win over Turkmenistan in their 2022 World Cup qualifier in Ashgabat (Yonhap News Agency).

The Spurs forward captained the Taeguk Warriors as they overcame the world's 132nd-ranked team on their turf, midfielder Na Sang-ho scoring his first international goal and Jung Woo-young adding a second via a free kick.

Son came close to adding a third for his nation late on, as did Kim Shin-wook, but ultimately the clean-sheet win was reward for a job well done in their first qualifier of the season, as well as instantly putting to bed the poor performance in the Georgia friendly last week.

In wake of Giovani Lo Celso's injury update, there is a fair bit of anxiety within the Tottenham fanbase regarding their players' fitness, and so the lack of such news regarding Son as Spurs posted about their player at full time was welcomed by many Lilywhites fans.

Here is some of the reaction from Tottenham Twitter about the £22million man:

South Korea's next Group H match will be against Sri Lanka at home on October 10, with the second-round action set to continue through June next year, and the top teams from each of the eight groups, plus four-best runners-up, will qualify for the third round.
