Leeds United new boy Illan Meslier enhanced his reputation on Monday afternoon.
The 19-year-old French goalkeeper posted a Man-of-the-Match performance as Leeds Under-23s held Crystal Palace to a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park.
Palace could and would have won comfortably if not for the Lorient-owned keeper's numerous interventions, including a stunning save in the closing stages.
And Eagles' Under-23 boss Richard Shaw has acknowledged Meslier's display in his post-match interview.
“Maybe trying something different to unlock Leeds, but I felt if we kept doing what we had been doing it would see us getting opportunities, but having said that, their keeper has pulled off some great saves," he said via Football London.
Meslier hasn't made his senior debut since joining Leeds on loan and with Marcelo Bielsa's side out of the League Cup, there isn't a big window of opportunity at the moment
That being said, Bielsa's first-choice keeper Kiko Casilla is prone to the occasional error and the next time he's culpable for a goal, the Argentine coach may not hestitate to use the teenage signing on the back of his heroics in London.
