Stuart Dallas has been starting at right-back for Leeds United this season.
Leeds United supporters on Twitter want Stuart Dallas to be given a new contract after he claimed that his future is in the hands of the club.
Dallas, who has been playing at right-back for Leeds this season, has stated that he has ‘fallen in love’ with Leeds as he expressed his desire to stay at the club, as reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post.
For some Elland Road supporters, Dallas has surprised them with his performances, whilst others have just appreciated what he has been giving to the team.
Marcelo Bielsa has been utilising him in various positions, from playing him on the flanks to playing him in defence, and it is fair to say, that he has been delivering whenever called upon.
With first-choice right-back Luke Ayling on the sidelines with an injury since the start of the campaign, Dallas has stepped up in his shoes and made that place his own.
It could be argued that he has been one of Leeds United’s standout players this season as numerous fans want him penned down to a new contract.
Leeds supporters have praised Dallas’s work rate and honesty whilst playing for his club, as he has also been putting in similar performances for his country too.
On Monday night, Dallas was unfortunate to be on the losing side as Northern Ireland fought hard but ended up losing a Euro 2020 qualifier against Germany.
Now the Northern Irishman will return to club action where Leeds will be preparing for a weekend clash against neighbours and newly-promoted Barnsley.
Here is a selection of Leeds fans on Twitter reacting to Dallas’ comments:
Always liked Dallas, one of the most honest players going. Will give his all, not complain, just crack on with it. A credit to Leeds United and Northern Ireland.— Tony Leeds (@TonyLeeds5) September 8, 2019
Hopefully no more than 2 years. Made too many mistakes with O’Kane etc on 4 year deals costing us a fortune.— Andy.ridge (@Andyridge2) September 8, 2019
massively improved under bielsa and especially at right back too, i think it’s worth extending his contract for a few more years or so— Simmo (@1simmo1) September 8, 2019
Absolute professional and a credit to LUFC. New deal all day.— Jay Smith (@vodkainmyeyes) September 8, 2019

Definitely worthy of a new contract, first choice right back for the foreseeable in my opinion!— MMLUFC (@Michael46041497) September 8, 2019
He’s proved me wrong as I thought he looked lost and didn’t know what position he was suited to. He’s been arguable our best player this year since he took the right wing back position.— Richard Walker (@richleedsuk) September 8, 2019
