Stuart Dallas has stood out in the Championship this season, becoming a key player for Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United.
Leeds United are hoping to reward the rejuvenated Stuart Dallas with a new contract at Elland Road, according to TEAMtalk.
The Whites got fans all over the world punching the air on Monday by announcing that Kalvin Phillips, the local lad turned academy graduate turned talisman, had committed his future to the club with a new five-year deal despite interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Dallas has hardly been a regular in the gossip columns, like Phillips, but he has become equally essential to Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.
The former Brentford forward has been transformed from a winger into a flying full-back in the last 12 months or so and his form on the right-hand side of Leeds’ defence ensuring that the absence of Luke Ayling has not hit the club as hard as might have been feared.
According to TEAMtalk, Dallas, who joined Leeds for £1.5 million four years ago, is currently set to become a free agent next summer. The Whites are doing all they can to ensure he doesn’t walk away from West Yorkshire for absolutely nothing.
Dallas continued his fine form with a superb display for the Northern Ireland during their narrow defeat to Germany in Monday night’s Euro 2020 qualifier. That ‘Cookstown Cafu’ nickname is starting to look justifiable.
