Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard is on fire right now.
Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard has told a Canal Plus live broadcast (09/09), as quoted by Get French Football News, that Paris Saint-Germain is still the club of his heart.
The Bhoys striker has been in great form of late, scoring six goals in his first 11 games of the season for Neil Lennon's side, including the opener in the recent Old Firm derby.
Edouard has now taken that form onto the international stage, remarkably scoring four goals in his first two games for the French Under-21 side.
Edouard is red-hot right now, and just like compatriot Moussa Dembele before him, he will naturally be linked with a move away from Parkhead.
The 21-year-old has now been asked whether he would want a return to former club PSG, and he admitted that they're 'the club of his heart'.
Edouard did though add that it's not really in his head right now to chase a return to the French capital, instead just focusing on enjoying himself and working hard at Celtic.
“Things are working well (with Celtic), but it is down to work,” said Edouard. “I give everything and that is also important on the pitch… PSG is the club of my heart, I still have friends of mine over there who grew up with me in the youth set-up. For the moment, it is not really in my head (to come back to PSG). For the moment I am playing, I am enjoying myself and we will see what happens in the future,” he added.
Edouard joined the PSG ranks back in 2011, and whilst he featured for their B team, he was never able to make his first-team debut before being sold to Celtic.
Edouard may still have a little developing to do before rubbing shoulders with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, but he's on course to become a big name in Europe – and PSG will surely be keeping tabs on their former prospect.
