Injury made Andriy Yarmolenko's first season at West Ham at write off. It was unfortunate, and leaves questions as to what may be in store in 2019/20.

The Ukrainian is a curiosity, underrated and probably forgotten about by many of West Ham's rivals.

The winger has made a bright start this campaign, making three appearances already including two starts.

He scored in West Ham's 2-0 victory over Norwich City before the international break, putting in an impressive performance.

Yarmolenko completed 92 per cent of his passes, and created two chances.

The 29-year-old is a player who if he hits form, could make West Ham's attack scarily good.

Sebastien Haller looks like an outstanding addition, while Manuel Lanzini and Felipe Anderson are themselves a dangerous combination.

Even without Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Haller and Anderson are a trio who would pose problems for most defences.

Yarmolemko provides a different dimension, adding width and an ability to score.

Even last season before his injury, Yarmolenko scored twice in five starts for the Hammers.

In 340 games Yarmolenko scored 137 goals for Dinamo Kiev. It was an astounding record which saw Borussia Dortmund buy him.

If he can hit the form at West Ham he is capable of, then the Ukrainian could help the Hammers make a serious push for a European place.
