Twitter celebrates Amouranth's ban from Twitch for nudity - "Plague is over!"

Amouranth Twitch Ban 1

People on Twitter are currently celebrating the fact Amouranth has been banned from Twitch for nudity.

ASMR artist and Twitch streamer Amouranth has been banned from the aforementioned platform for "accidental nudity" during one of her livestreams on September 8. And thanks to the streaming platform having a history of supposedly turning their cheek to the mishaps of females online, Twitter is currently full of elation with some saying the "plague is over."

Amouranth is an internet celebrity with over one million followers on Twitch, and she's famous for her ASMR videos coupled with her adult cosplay on Patreon.

While you could say the above makes her instead infamous, her notoriety for most stems from having allegedly used racist language.

Why is Amouranth banned from Twitch?

Amouranth has been banned from Twitch for "accidental nudity" which breaks the streaming platform's community guidelines about sexually explicit and suggestive content being prohibited.

The incident occurred during one of her ASMR livestreams on September 8. While talking to chat and occasionally playing with her dog on the floor, she accidentally exposed herself multiple times via upskirt when rolling about.

As you can probably imagine, this immediately became a clip that was doing the rounds on Reddit and other social media forums. Yet, despite the swiftness of the clip being visible pretty much everywhere on social media, it took Twitch 12 hours to suspend her account.

No one knows how long she is banned for as neither Amouranth or Twitch have released any statements as of writing, but it should be 30 days or even longer thanks to the circumstances.

Regardless whether it's 30 days or more, Twitter is currently elated by the news.

Twitter reacts to Amouranth being banned from Twitch for nudity

It's never nice to celebrate the downfall of any individual aside from extreme cases, but that hasn't stopped Twitter having a party to celebrate Amouranth's Twitch ban.

People have expressed their joy on Twitter by suggesting that the "plague is over," but a few are still concerned that the ban will soon be uplifted.

Some have criticised Twitch for being ridiculously slow to deliver a ban despite several instances in which she's been said to have showed nudity, meanwhile others are sarcastically surprised that Twitch have dared to suspend a female.

Of course, there's a lot of people also making comparisons to Alinity because it seems that witch hunt still hasn't finished.

The nudity probably was accidental, but it's a good thing Twitch has delivered a suspension (no matter how long it lasts) as it should set a precedent for these mishaps not being tolerable regardless of gender.
