The NFL has just had its first week, and the Steelers, Browns and Jets have all been on the receiving end of "ugly" losses. If you're a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owner, you can discover below how to watch more of the action that will make you hate football on your preferred console.

While the Premier League is by nature the primary home of competitive sport for British lads, there's no denying that the Americans have it better with their most talked about sport being passionate occasions to remember instead of theatrical embarrassments starring prima-donnas who do nothing but roll about on the floor.

These very Americans can enjoy their NFL action on their chosen video game console, as can us Brits who want to leave the Premier League behind.

How to watch the NFL on PS4

If you're interested in seeing if the Patriots can make the stairway to heaven once more, a proposition which makes about as much sense to Brits as the name Tom Brady, you can do so on your PS4.

Granted, it's not free as nothing in life ever is nowadays, but it's still a strong way to enjoy all of your football carnage.

Regardless whether you're a fan of the Patriots, Browns, Steelers, Jets or the Bills, the way to watch real-life Madden on your PlayStation console is by downloading the PS Vue app.

Even if you don't have a PS4 system, you can still exploit the PS Vue app through other venues such as Amazon Fire TV and Chromescast.

PS Vue costs $55 per month, and this subscription will give you access to channels such as ESPN, CBS, NBC, FOX, and the Disney channel when you feel all nostalgic. Oh, and perhaps most importantly it also boasts the NFL Network which owns Redzone.

The first two months are $44.99, but the fixed rate will resort to the above fee afterwards. There's admittedly not as many live local channels as there is on Hulu, but PS Vue will still allow you to watch the following:

  • Sunday Night football on NBC
  • Monday Night football on ESPN
  • Thursday Night games on the NFL Network and FOX

You can subscribe to PS Vue by clicking here.

If you're a college student who isn't interested in PS Vue, you can also watch the NFL on your PS4 system through NFL Sunday Ticket. A sure-fire means which is also possible on the Xbox One.

How to watch NFL games live on PS4 and Xbox One in the UK

If you're a United Kingdom citizen who bores co-workers by rambling on about American football rather than how VAR is ruining the Premier League, then you too can watch live NFL matches on your PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In order to do this, all you need to do is download the NFL Game Pass via the PlayStation or Microsoft Store.

This should allow you to watch live preseason and regular season matches, as well as playoffs and the famous Super Bowl. NFL Game Pass does this through the NFL Network and the NFL RedZone.
