Switzerland continued their EURO 2020 qualifying campaign on Sunday night, comfortably beating Gibraltar 4-0 in Sion.
After a 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland on Thursday, Switzerland were expected to coast home to victory against minnows Gibraltar, and did just that.
Denis Zakaria put Switzerland in front to spark a flurry of goals, with Admir Mehmedi and Ricardo Rodriguez also getting on the scoresheet before half time.
Despite having 40 shots on goal, Switzerland only managed one more goal as Mario Gavranovic added the fourth, securing a convincing victory.
It was a mostly positive night for Switzerland, but striker Albian Ajeti will feel he missed an opportunity to impress both club and country.
The new West Ham signing, who recently penned a £30,000-a-week deal with the Hammers (Football.London), has yet to appear in the Premier League for West Ham and will have been looking to show his quality against Gibraltar.
However, the former Basel man only managed two shots in the entire game and failed to get on the scoresheet, leading to criticism from Switzerland fans, who rated him as a 5/10 and felt he was disappointing.
West Ham fans also have concerns that Ajeti is only good enough for their Under-23's, with worries that he won't be good enough for the first team and at his inability to score against Gibraltar – though some felt Switzerland's midfield had no vision to pick out his runs.

How many goals will Albian Ajeti score for us this season? I’m going to guess: 3. #WestHamFamily— SLBK BigSam (@SLBKBigSam) September 9, 2019

Good work from Embolo to initially find Mehmedi before the cutback is blasted over by Fernandes. Ajeti goes for the spectacular soon after which is off target. Poor.
