Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford started for England on Saturday.

Manchester United fans have provided a mixed reaction to Marcus Rashford stating that he is using Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane as a benchmark for him to become a better player.

On Saturday, both Rashford and Kane started for England during their comfortable 4-0 win over Bulgaria in their Euro 2020 qualifier, with Kane netting a hat-trick for his country.

Prior to the game, Rashford lauded Kane as ‘one of the best finishers’ in the game and shared that he wants to get close to the Tottenham man as possible, as quoted by The Telegraph.

Kane has been prolific in recent seasons, which has seen him become England’s main man up top, as Rashford is hoping to take that next step in his game.

At club level, Rashford is now he main man up top for Manchester United, whilst he will be hoping to match the goalscoring exploits of his fellow countryman in these coming seasons.

Kane has netted three Premier League goals for Tottenham this season, whilst Rashford has found the back of the net for United on two occasions.

Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling is the top English marksman in the league with five goals to his name after four league matches.

Nonetheless, both Kane and Rashford will be in action for England once again on Tuesday night, as Gareth Southgate’s side take on Kosovo at St Mary’s.
