Lily James is certainly keeping herself very busy this year

If you've been anywhere near a TV in the past 12 months, you're bound to have seen one of the Lily James-starring Sky Mobile adverts.

The cheery ads have been playing non-stop of late and the iconic Beach Boys music that accompanies them has undoubtedly got stuck in the minds of thousands of people as a result.

Of course, Lily James' growing status as one of the UK's top actresses is a huge draw for Sky who no doubt had to fork out a fair amount for Lily's services.

But besides from the ever-present Sky adverts, what do we know about Lily James and what else has she appeared in?

Lily James' Sky Mobile adverts

In the past 12 months, Lily James has appeared in several Sky Mobile adverts. The two most obvious and iconic though have both featured heavily during ad-breaks in the past few months.

The first, which you can watch above, shows James walking through a train station where everything is going right for the various commuters, from not missing trains, avoiding spilling coffee and having lost teddy bears returned.

The second and more recent ad has been running throughout the summer and shows Lily strolling through a park as the sun comes out and everyone's tediously grey lives undertake a summery and colourful switch.

Lily James: A profile

The Surrey-born actress broke into the acting industry in 2010, aged just 21.

However, James' true big-break in the film industry was, without doubt, her starring role in the 2015 remake of Disney's Cinderella in which she appeared alongside two-time Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett and Game of Thrones' Richard Madden.

Since then, Lily James, now 30-years-old, has gone onto appear in some of the biggest films in the last few years.

Lily James' first acting role came in the BBC series Just William in 2010. That was followed quickly with several appearances in the ITV drama Secret Life of a Call Girl.

Arguably Lily James' biggest TV role came in the hit series Downton Abbey where she appeared as Lady Rose MacClare between 2012 and 2015.

James' big-break into the film industry, as we've mentioned came in 2015's Cinderella where she played the titular character.

Since then, however, James has gone on to work in some of the biggest films of the past few years including Edgar Wright's Baby Driver, Darkest Hour and Mama Mia: Here We Go Again.
