The Whites ace’s delivery helped his country claim a draw in Israel – some Leeds fans wondered why he doesn’t do that as much for the Elland Road side.
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Ezgjan Alioski’s display for North Macedonia against Israel in Thursday night’s Euro 2020 Group G clash at Be’er Sheva’s Turner Stadium.
The hosts took the lead on 55 minutes when Eran Zahavi turned in a low centre from the right, but their advantage lasted for all of nine minutes as Alioski’s superb curling free kick delivery was deftly headed home by Arijan Ardemi.
In the end, the spoils were shared by the two nations, and quite a few Leeds fans were impressed with the Whites ace’s impressive set piece delivery – some wondering why he doesn’t do that at Elland Road quite so much.
Here is some of the social media reaction:
He does.. just no one gets their head on it..— stefan dubej (@stefandubej) 6 September 2019
If that's at Elland Rd he belts that into the first man.— Scott (@Scottbailey10) 6 September 2019
Out of him and Harrison , alioski puts in far better crosses.. what’s missing Is the one that heads it in..— stefan dubej (@stefandubej) 6 September 2019

Enjoyed that Macedonia Vs Israel game. Finished 1-1 in the end, Alioski at LWB in a back five. He got the assist with a really good freekick into the box and had a chance in the first half where he dribbled on the counter through Israel. #lufc #israel #Macedonia— BielsaCarajo (@carajo_bielsa) 5 September 2019
They do it in purpose Mark, just to annoy you…apparently Alioski is awesome in training…— LUFC LS25 (@EastLeedsLad) 5 September 2019
Alisoki has basically replaced BD he saw his chance took it and look at how great he is. I choose Oski over BD every time. No disrespect to BD but he gsts injured everytime he kicks a ball poor fella— Sophie Welsh (@SophieWelsh16) 6 September 2019
If he took that for us it goes over everyone and out for a goal kick….or first man in the box clears it— El Loco DG (@DehranGibson) 6 September 2019

Alioski, who has been with Leeds since moving from FC Lugano in the summer of 2017 for a reported £2.25million (Transfermarkt), has featured in six games for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season – including three Championship starts – and has scored once, according to Transfermarkt.
