Arsenal loanee Danie Ceballos started as Spain beat Romania.
Arsenal won the race to sign Dani Ceballos on loan this summer ahead of rivals Tottenham.
Ceballos has made a good early impression at the Gunners, certainly enough to earn him a starting spot in Spain's new look international XI.
Despite the presence of mainstays Sergio Ramos, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, the rest of the Spain team is in transition, and Ceballos was one of the players given a chance to prove his worth last night.
Ceballos started for Spain in their European qualifying win over Romania, a 2-1 away victory.
He featured for 76 minutes, coming off with Spain 2-1 up, and they were able to hold on for the win.
Ceballos made a valuable contribution to Spain's win.
He was involved in the build up to Spain's second goal, which turned out to be the winner.
It might have been enough to keep his place in the squad heading into the next game against the Faroe Islands.
Here is a look at how fans reacted on Twitter to his performance...
