Workin’ Moms season 3 has just hit Netflix here in the UK!
After its original US release back in February, season 3 of Workin’ Moms has finally made its way onto Netflix here in the UK.
Creator Catherine Reitman returns to star in the series and real-life husband and producer of Workin’ Moms Philip Sternberg also pops up in the series as her fictional husband.
The duo are clearly a match made in heaven both on and off-screen and the stellar work they’ve both put into the show since it first launched back in 2017 is clearly paying dividends as Workin’ Moms gears up for an upcoming fourth season.
But how did the duo come to meet in the first place and is Workin’ Moms their only collaboration?
The ultimate power couple
According to Toronto news site TRNTO, Catherine Reitman and Philip Sternberg first met in around 2007. Catherine was auditioning for a role she never felt right for and the pair crossed paths when she went to pick up the paycheque for her time. Despite not exchanging numbers, the duo felt a spark.
Several months later they came across each other again and weren’t going to make the same mistake as their previous encounter.
Their first date saw the pair attend the cast and crew screening of Knocked Up in which Catherine appears.
The whirlwind romance didn’t stop there and within six months the couple were engaged.
Catherine Reitman and Philip Sternberg married in 2009 and in the 10 years since have had two children together.
Workin’ Moms
As both of them work in the film and TV industry, it was almost a matter of time before the couple worked together on something.
That something turned out to be the hit comedy Workin’ Moms which was created by Catherine.
Not only does she star in the show but has written and directed for it as well.
Philip, meanwhile, has produced and directed episodes of the series and also appears and Catherine’s fictional husband in the show which has become a passion project for them both.
Other Projects
Despite their huge success in Workin’ Moms, Catherine and Philip haven’t worked on anything else together in their various careers.
However, once Workin’ Moms has eventually run its course, and who knows when that might be with another season on the way, then it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the husband and wife duo link up again sometime in the future.
Until then, seasons 1-3 of Workin’ Moms are available to stream now on Netflix and season 4 is slated for a Winter 2020 (Jan-Feb) release with the fourth season likely to arrive on Netflix sometime after that.
