Sunderland striker Will Grigg has scored just six times in 30 appearances for Jack Ross’s men.

Will Grigg has told the Chronicle that Sunderland supporters’ backing of him means a lot.
Grigg was brought to Sunderland from Wigan Athletic last January, and he was expected to fire the goals to earn them promotion.
However, Grigg has struggled since his switch to the Stadium of Light.
The Northern Ireland international has normally always scored prolifically at League One level, but he has found things tough at Sunderland.
Grigg has hit just six goals in 30 appearances for the Black Cats across all competitions.
The striker did score for Sunderland as they upset Burnley in the Carabao Cup recently though.
And Grigg says that the response he got from Sunderland fans on that occasion really pleased him.

“It means a lot that the fans are sticking with me too,” he said.
“It must have been frustrating for them. I came in with a big price tag and it didn’t quite happen for me. To see the support the other day [at Burnley], it’s been massive. I just want to let them know I appreciate it.”
If Grigg can find form for Sunderland then he could still be a major asset to Jack Ross’s side.
Grigg is unquestionably a dangerous weapon to have at League One level, even if he hasn’t found his best form on Wearside yet.
Grigg could get a chance to start in Sunderland’s first game back after the international break against Accrington Stanley, as Charlie Wyke will be suspended.
