Leeds United may be about to secure Mateusz Klich’s future.

Leeds United managed to keep midfielder Mateusz Klich over the summer, but may now be able to secure his future for the long-term.

The Whites saw Klich save his Leeds career last season, racking up 10 goals and nine assists in his first campaign under Marcelo Bielsa.

Over the summer, Klich appeared to be attracting interest. The Daily Mail reported that Burnley were interested in signing Klich, hoping to pounce given that his contract expires next summer.

That didn’t happen, and Przeglad Sportowy in Poland now report that Klich is in talks with Leeds about a new contract to stay at Elland Road beyond the end of the campaign.

That would be a huge boost for Leeds, as they would ensure that Bielsa keeps one of his key players whilst ending those Burnley rumours once and for all.

Hopefully there is some official news to come soon, as Leeds fans won’t want the situation to drag on into 2020, with the noises now suggesting that a deal could be moving closer and closer.
