The Black Cats fell to a heavy defeat in Cambridgeshire, the Stadium of Light outfit's first League One loss of the season.

A number of Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on Jack Ross' latest comments regarding the 3-0 loss away at Peterborough United at the weekend (official Sunderland website).
The Black Cats endured a dismal afternoon at the Weston Homes Stadium as Marcus Maddison's brace, either side of Josh Knight's first goal for Posh, condemned them to their first League One loss of the season.
In addition, Sunderland had Luke O'Nien and Charlie Wyke sent off in the space of six second-half minutes to finish the game with 10 men, though the former successfully appealed his red card.
On Tuesday, the Stadium of Light outfit posted an article in which Ross analysed their first loss of the campaign, being keen to remain level-headed and not over-react.
“It’s the same as everyone I’ve lost here and we haven’t lost many,” he said. “In fairness, we’ve lost with poorer performances. It’s not a reality check for us because there’s no way in the world we were carried away or approached this game with (any complacency).
“If the performance was poor from minute one, I’d have accepted that as a potential criticism, but we were at it on Saturday. We felt good coming into the game, the performance in the early part of the game was good. Sometimes you have days where it hinges on key moments and that’s what happened. Peterborough deserved to win the game, they’ve recorded a good result, and we move on.”

With a two-week break from action due to international call-ups, it offers Sunderland a chance to regroup, but nonetheless some fans appear to have had enough with what they have seen so far from their side, and from Ross' management, while others echoed their coach's sentiments.
Here is some of the reaction on social media:
So basically we were in top nick - and we still got stuffed.

Get real Ross as a team we are stuttering along with this squad of players and your naive tactical awareness we won’t make the playoffs never@mind 100 points & promotion.

Why? we were literally a second away from going to penalties to win the playoffs and got beat in penalties in checkatrade trophy in his first season when he came in to a utter shambles? yes he has things to learn but he’s young? who are we supposed to replace him with also?

I’d take a defeat if it follows 5 wins anytime.
