A number of Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan the club's injury update on the Canaries trio of Timm Klose, Christoph Zimmermann and Tom Trybull.

It's not good news for Klose, who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a knee injury sustained during last week’s Carabao Cup tie at Crawley Town, as confirmed by the Norwich website.

The defender was forced from the field of play in the 27th minute following a collision with an opposition player and subsequent scans have since revealed significant damage to the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, with further specialist consultations ongoing.

Norwich's medical team is also continuing to assess a foot ligament injury sustained by Zimmerman during the weekend’s Premier League game at West Ham United, the player forced off following a late challenge from Hammers striker Sebastien Haller during the first half.

In addition, the Carrow Road outfit confirmed that Trybull is set to be out of action for approximately six weeks with an ankle ligament injury which was also sustained during the game at the London Stadium.

With Norwich currently in the bottom three of the fledgling Premier League table after one win and three defeats, alarm bells are ringing ever louder amongst some Canaries fans and there was a fair bit of anxiety on social media.

Here is some of the reaction:

With the international break currently under way, Norwich's next game is a week on Saturday, with Premier League champions Manchester City coming to Carrow Road in the day's late kickoff.
